If You Believe You Receive

I have a 9 year old son, 7 & 5 year old daughters, and apparently, this is the age when little minds start to question their reality.  Our magical white (lies) stories don’t stack up anymore.  The little Elf that visits and distributes treats into our Advent calendar, every night in December until Christmas eve, wasn’t so clever last year and his existence is in question.  If you have ever had the Tooth fairy visit, you’ll understand the pressure. EVERY NIGHT.

If You Believe You Receive

This statement goes so much deeper than the magic of Christmas.  It echos the Buddhism philosophy ‘What you think you become’ or from Jesus ‘Ask and ye shall receive’.  It is the universal ‘Law of Attraction’, the belief that there is power in what you say and think.  If you think positive thoughts you will attract positive energy, and conversely if you think negative thoughts you will attract negative energy.

If you believe you aren’t good enough in relationship you will unconsciously sabotage it until it fails. You will test the boundaries until they break.

It is thoughts, that become subtle actions, that manifest themselves into reality.

If I think about dropping a contact lens before putting it in my eye, a message is sent to my brain, that moves to open my fingers and drops the tiny invisible lens to the floor. It almost always happens, I have to counter the thought with a positive image of putting the lens successfully in my eye.

“Nothing can harm you as much as your own thoughts unguarded” ~Buddha

Our consciousness has the ability to utilise energy created from thought and use it to create our reality.

My husband & I tried for a long time to get pregnant.  I was told to take the word ‘try’ out of my vocabulary. Eventually I fell pregnant. We had stopped trying, we were getting pregnant. Yes, there were many other factors contributing to the success, some of those factors may have been set into action by the positive mindset.

“… wherever a thought goes a molecule follows. And the molecule is not just in your brain — it’s everywhere in your body. There are receptors to these molecules in your immune system, in your gut and in your heart. So when you say, ‘I have a gut feeling’ or ‘my heart is sad’ or ‘I am bursting with joy,’ you’re not speaking metaphorically. You’re speaking literally.” Deepak Chopra,

If You Believe You Receive; so, dream, believe to achieve.

There is a quote I love. It has been cited from Buddha, and it certainly resonates with his teachings.

The thought manifests as the word.

The word manifests as the deed.

The deed develops into habit.

And the habit hardens into character.

So watch the thought and its ways with care.

We need to watch our thoughts and create a positive mindset in order to live a life filled with kindness, love, happiness and a little bit of magic.

Let the new year be the year of letting go of past disappointments; let it be a year filled with courage, the year of saying yes to new opportunities and a year filled good health and lots of creativity.
